1m extrusions of both colors are now received into Amazon's warehouses, along with the linear ball rails (400mm). We have changed the way we package and sell the ball rails: The ball rails are now furnished fully lubricated with food contact safe silicone grease, preapplied. No need to pack grease into the bearings with a toothpick).
We have listened to people's feedback (and, big thanks to the gentlemen that came up to talk to us during the 3D Printer World Expo in Burbank). (We've also cross shipped replacement rails in the last batch to anyone who contacted us with regards to quality issues, and found that with proper lubrication, these issues went away). Based on the above, we decided that for our upcoming kickstarter rewards, we will furnish the rails pre-greased to avoid putting our backers through the work of lubricating the rails. One thing lead to another and we ended up designing a pretty cool fixture to strip the linear ball carriages off the rails, apply grease onto the ball ways, allow the steel rail to be cleaned, and reassembled without losing any of the ball bearings. We designed our fixture to roll the ball bearings while the grease is being applied, so the entire ball bearing chain gets properly greased.
We are happy that we can offer this service as a value add with no increment to cost. Unlike Chinese sellers, we also back our rails with Amazon's customer service guarantee. If for some reason you are unhappy with the rail, you can return it to Amazon for a full refund. We will also, in a few weeks, have small amounts of individual rails held at Amazon for drop ship replacement, in case anyone happen to have ONE rail that doesn't perform to spec.
