Last Saturday, OpenBeam and Metrix donated some OpenBeam kits and laser cutter time to students participating in the FIRST Technical Challenge. Here are some pictures from the event that Terence took:
The competition is actually just a very small portion of the overall experience. For these kids, the engineering, technical and leadership skills that they learn from their participation will serve them well in their careers. Behind the scene in the pits, you can see various folks scrambling to get their robots ready for competition:
